Description
It is a bud mutation variety of Miyagawa. It originated in Japan and was later introduced to China for cultivation. The tree has relatively weak growth vigor, with slightly smaller, dark green leaves. Its branches are softer, thornless, and densely clustered, easily forming tufted growth.
The fruit is medium-sized and flat-round in shape, with an average single fruit weight of about 150 grams. The fruit measures 4.5–5.3 cm in vertical diameter and 6.2–7 cm in horizontal diameter. The peel is smooth, orange to deep orange in color, relatively thin, and easy to peel.
The flesh is pale yellow to orange-red, tender, juicy, and has a sweet-tart flavor. The soluble solids content is around 10%, reaching up to 11%, and the acidity ranges from 0.6% to 0.9%.
Coloring begins in late August, and by mid-September, more than 70% of the fruit has developed color, making it ready for harvest and market. Full coloration is achieved by late September. The flesh turns a deeper orange by early September, with pulp and skin coloring occurring simultaneously.
