Description
Red-fleshed Mealy Peach, grown in Feng County, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, ripens in mid to late July. The sun-exposed side develops a red color, and the flesh turns reddish when fully ripe. It has a crisp and sweet taste, with a faint tartness if nutrients are unbalanced; this tartness disappears and sweetness increases with additional phosphorus and potassium fertilization. The fruit has good firmness, a harvesting period of over 15 days, and a post-harvest shelf life of 3–7 days. The average fruit weight is 240 grams, with larger fruits exceeding 350 grams. It is self-pollinating and highly productive.
