Description

It is a late-ripening variety originating in Putian, Fujian. It was selected in the late 1940s from a natural mutation of the Dazhong variety, with its first fruiting coinciding with the year 1949, giving rise to its name, which means “Liberation Bell.”
The fruit is obovate in shape, with an average weight of about 61 grams and some fruits reaching up to 179 grams. The skin is orange-red with a noticeable waxy coating, of medium thickness, and easy to peel. The flesh is thick, orange-yellow, dense, and moderately juicy, offering a balanced sweet-tart flavor and a rich taste.
