Description
It has a fruit shape ranging from long-conical to long-ovoid, rounded at the top and pointed at the bottom, with the lower part tilting slightly to one side, resembling a horse’s tooth—hence its name. It is one of China’s earliest-maturing fresh-eating jujube varieties. The fruit is crisp and tasty, with high sugar content, exceeding 30% at full maturity. It is of excellent quality: the skin is white during the crisp-ripe stage, and turns bright red and glossy at full maturity. Individual fruits weigh about 18–25 g, with uniform size, small stone, and thick flesh, giving an edible rate of about 98%. It ripens in late July.
