Hanging Green lychees are produced in Guangdong and mature in mid June. The yield is very low and needs to be harvested immediately. It is a rare variety among lychees. A Hanging Green lychee was once sold at an auction in the Mainland for a whopping price of 2.39 million yuan. The shell is red and green, the flesh is white and crystal clear, and it is sweet and refreshing.

I ordered a Hanging Green Lychee tree, and it took about 20 days to arrive. When I received it, all of the leaves were dry and had fallen off. I contacted the seller, Sonny, to request a replacement. I planted the tree in a 5-gallon pot and placed it in a shady location that receives about four hours of morning sunlight. About 10 days later, small new leaves began to grow. The tree has survived.
