Gong Jujube (宫枣)

Description

It produces medium-to-large, long-oval fruits weighing 17.7–25.8 grams each, with relatively uniform size. The skin is thin, smooth, and bright red, while the flesh is thick, greenish-white, and dense in texture. It has a sweet-tart taste, abundant juice, and a pleasant jujube aroma, making it excellent for fresh eating. The edible rate reaches 97.2%, with a soluble solids content of 29.2% and a vitamin C content of 418.09 mg per 100 g. The seed is relatively small and spindle-shaped.
The fruit enters the half-ripe stage in mid-August, the crisp-ripe stage in late August, and turns fully red in early September.
