Description
The Camel Yellow Apricot originated in Mentougou District, Beijing. The tree is vigorous, with an open and spreading growth habit.
The fruit ripens in early June, with a development period of 55–60 days. Fruits are round, with a flat to slightly depressed apex. The suture line is distinct, and the flesh is symmetrical.
The average fruit weight is about 50 g, with the largest fruits reaching up to 78 g. The skin has an orange-yellow base color, with a dark red blush on the sun-exposed side.
The flesh is orange-yellow, soft, and fibrous, with abundant juice. The flavor is sweet-tart and pleasant, offering excellent eating quality. The fruit is semi-clingstone, with a sweet kernel.
This variety is an excellent, high-yielding, extremely early-ripening apricot, ideal for fresh consumption.
