Zhongtao 1-40 Peach (中桃1-40)

A new, extra-early maturing white-fleshed peach variety. It begins to ripen around May 25. The fruit has an entirely red, glossy surface and weighs over 170 grams per fruit. The flesh is white, and when fully ripe, it has a sweet taste. The peach has a firm texture with a sugar content of 12.1% and is clingstone.
