Description

The Youyi 106 is a late-maturing longan variety. It has large fruit clusters with densely packed and uniformly sized fruits. The fruit is nearly round or slightly flattened, with flat or slightly raised shoulders and a rounded top. The skin is greenish-brown with prominent bumps, giving it a fresh appearance. The flesh is milky white, semi-transparent, tender, and crisp, with a sweet, clean taste. It melts in the mouth without releasing juice and easily separates from the seed. The average fruit weight is 15.5 grams, with a soluble solids content of 21.6% and an edible rate of 70.6%. It has an acid content of 0.14%, 15.4% soluble sugars, and 6.20% reducing sugars, with 90.4 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams of fresh fruit.
