Description
It is a Japanese variety. The fruit is flat-round in shape, with an average weight of 230 grams, and the largest fruit can weigh up to 400 grams. When ripe, the fruit surface turns orange-red, with the top being a deep red, giving it a beautiful and captivating appearance. The flesh is orange-red, with a firm and crisp texture, offering a sweet and refreshing taste. After storage, the flesh becomes dense and the flavor intensifies. With a sugar content of 16 degrees and a soluble solids content of 18.4%, its quality is exceptional. When grown alone, the fruit is seedless, but when pollinated, the yield increases, although the number of seeds also increases. Yangfeng is resistant to storage and transportation and does not crack. It is ready to eat from mid to late August, starts to color in early September, and fully ripens in mid to late September. It can remain on the tree until early October, during which time its quality and flavor improve. After harvesting, the fruit naturally softens after 20 days of storage, becoming soft and sticky, with higher sugar content and enhanced flavor.
