Also known as Korean Large White Pearl or Pearl White。 White Pearl is a premium white mulberry variety introduced from Korea. It is highly regarded for its exceptionally sweet flavor and high sugar content, which is noticeably higher than that of black mulberries. The fruit contains virtually no acidity — even when not fully ripe, it has no sour taste, though slightly underripe fruit may have a mild grassy note.
This is a mid-season variety with good cold tolerance. The tree produces long, straight branches, relatively small leaves, and a high flower bud setting rate, ensuring reliable productivity.
The fruits are milky white, elongated cylindrical in shape, measuring 3–3.5 cm in length and about 1.5 cm in diameter. Average fruit weight ranges from 3 – 6 g. The berries are juicy, intensely sweet, and rich in sugars. The fruiting period lasts approximately 30 days.
