Also known as the Rose Aroma Blood Orange, this premium late-maturing blood orange variety is prized for its deep purple-red flesh, abundant juice, and exceptionally fine, tender texture. It offers a well-balanced sweet-tart flavor with a smooth, fiber-free mouthfeel and a subtle rose-like aroma that lingers on the palate. Rich in lycopene and vitamin C, it is widely regarded as the “aristocrat among oranges.”
The fruit has a short oval shape, with an average single-fruit weight of approximately 194 g. Both the peel and flesh naturally develop purple-red to dark red hues. It is mainly cultivated in Zizhong, Sichuan, and nearby regions.
This variety is a late-season orange, reaching peak quality from late January to early–mid February. It contains 3–5 times more lycopene than ordinary oranges, along with high levels of natural anthocyanins, polyphenols, dietary fiber, folic acid, and vitamin C, providing strong antioxidant benefits and supporting skin health and overall wellness.
