Description
Shinchuan Nakajima peach is a high-quality large-fruited variety, with an average fruit weight of 260–350 g and extra-large fruits reaching up to 460 g. The fruit is round to oval in shape, with a flat tip and an inconspicuous suture line. The skin is bright red over nearly the entire surface, smooth and glossy, with sparse, short fuzz. The flesh is yellowish-white, with a light red tint near the pit. It is semi-clingstone, with a small pit and a low rate of split pits, giving it an edible rate of up to 97%.
The flesh is crisp, firm, and very juicy, offering a refreshing taste. It has excellent storage and transport tolerance, able to be kept at room temperature for 10–15 days without loss of marketability. The sugar content is above 13.5%, with acidity at only about 1.15%, creating a well-balanced sweet-tart flavor. Its taste is distinctive, richly aromatic, and of top quality. The fruit matures in mid-July.
