Description
The Shannong Crisp pear matures in mid-October and is classified as an extremely late-maturing variety. Each fruit weighs around 500 grams, with larger fruits reaching up to 750 grams, and the maximum size can grow to 1.3 kilograms (2.6 pounds). The pear is characterized by its large size, small core, thin skin, fine flesh, and pure white, fragrant, tender, crisp, and sweet texture. The flesh is delicate, residue-free, crisp, juicy, sweet, with a strong pear aroma, and contains no stone cells. The sugar content is over 14%, and it is particularly resistant to oxidation, remaining unchanged in color for up to 48 hours after being cut.
It is also highly storage-resistant, remaining crisp and fresh for up to 3 months at room temperature and up to 6 months in cold storage.
Bare root shipping. Some leaves and branches will be trimmed off before shipping.
