Description

Qinzhou Red lychee is a natural hybrid offspring of Hei Ye lychee and Lingshan Xiang lychee.

Its characteristics include:
1. Large Fruit Size: The average fruit weighs 44.7 grams, with the largest reaching 62 grams.
2. Excellent Quality: The flesh is thick, crisp, and juicy, with the juice not easily oozing out. It has a sweet and refreshing flavor, with a soluble solids content of 16.5% to 18.1% and a distinctive fragrance, making it a top-quality lychee. The seeds are small, with a shriveled seed rate of 36.15%, and the edible portion makes up 78.89% of the total fruit weight.
3. Attractive Appearance: The fruit has a bright red, oval-shaped skin with smooth and neatly arranged segments. The fruit stem and shoulders are flat, and the top is round and aesthetically pleasing, similar in appearance to Hei Ye lychee, giving it high commercial value.
4. Early Maturity and High Yield: The average cluster weight is 585 grams, with the heaviest cluster reaching 667.9 grams.

The fruiting process begins with sprouting from early February to late March, flowering from late March to early April, and the fruit matures in mid to late June, with a growth period of about 90 days.
