Description
It is a new mango variety developed by the South Subtropical Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Zhanjiang, Guangdong. It was created by hybridizing the American variety ‘Sensation’ as the female parent and the Australian variety ‘Kensington’ as the male parent.
Characteristics:
- Fruit Dimensions: Length 9.93 cm, width 8.01 cm, and thickness 7.42 cm.
- Appearance: The mature fruit has a pink skin, which is moderately thick and smooth with medium wax coverage.
- Flesh: The flesh is golden yellow with few fibers. The seed is oval-shaped and single-embryonic.
- Maturation Period: The fruit matures from mid-July to mid-August, with a consistent ripening period and no alternate bearing phenomenon.
