Description
Purple Sweet Seedless Grape, originally known as A17, is a Eurasian grape variety bred from a cross between Milk Grape and Royal Autumn Grape. It features large, attractive clusters with an average cluster weight of about 500 g, and a maximum cluster weight of up to 1,200 g.
The berries are heart-shaped, with an average single-berry weight of 5.6 g, which can increase to around 10 g after berry enlargement treatments. The skin color ranges from dark purple to blue-black. Sugar content is high, typically 20–22%.
The flesh is relatively crisp with a clean, refreshing sweetness and a distinctive milk-like aroma. Color development begins in early September, with full maturity reached by mid-September. The harvest window can be extended by up to one month, classifying it as a late-ripening variety.
