Description
It begins to color in late September and matures in late October. The fruit is exceptionally large, with an average weight of 241 grams, and the largest fruits can weigh over 500 grams. The fruits are relatively uniform in size, flat-round in shape, and are orange-yellow or light orange-red, turning orange-red when softened. The skin is fine and smooth, with a heavy bloom and no reticulate patterns. It is thick, tough, and easy to peel. The fruit has a deep and distinct constriction at the middle, dividing it into an upper and lower layer resembling a millstone, hence the name “Millstone persimmon.”
