Description
The Liaofeng grape is an excellent clonal bud mutation variety of Kyoho. The bunches are conical, with an average weight of 600 grams and a maximum of 1,350 grams. The berries are large, weighing 12-14 grams each, with the largest reaching 18 grams, and are round or oval in shape. The skin is purplish-black, with a thick bloom and good coloration. The flesh separates easily from the skin, is firm, sweet, and pleasantly flavored, offering superior quality.
The soluble solid content is 18%, significantly higher than that of Kyoho. The fruit does not crack during ripening and remains plump without shriveling when fully mature. It has a longer shelf life compared to Kyoho. When stored in a controlled environment, the fruit can stay fresh until the Lunar New Year, with no berry drop or change in flavor, demonstrating a quality advantage over Kyoho.
