Description
The fruit is large, cylindrical or long obovoid in shape. The average fruit weight is 23 g (0.81 oz), with the largest reaching 36 g (1.27 oz). The shoulders are relatively small, and the fruit top is flat. The surface is smooth, with a thin, deep-red skin. The flesh is thick, white or greenish-white, with a slightly loose and crisp texture, moderate juice, and a slight bitterness. It contains 33% soluble solids, has an edible rate of 96.3%, and is considered excellent in quality. It is suitable for drying, as well as for making drunken jujubes and candied jujubes. The stone weighs 0.85 g, and about 30% of large fruits contain seeds inside the stone. The fruit enters the crisp-ripe stage in mid-September.
