Description
This variety has a relatively tall tree structure with a rounded canopy. It is highly fertile, with a strong fruit set rate, and is considered a stable, high-yielding variety with strong resistance among oranges. This variety reduces its acidity early, and by mid-July, during the fruit expansion period, it has only a slight sourness left. Among sweet oranges, it is known for its high sugar and low acid content, with a honey-like taste, hence the name “Jinmi” (honey sweetness). The fruit is flattened and spherical, weighing about 50 grams more than ordinary Rock Sugar Oranges, with an average fruit weight of around 260 grams. The fruit size is uniform, matures in late November, is seedless, and has a smooth, thin but firm golden-yellow peel with a bright luster. The flesh is crisp, tender, juicy, and melts in the mouth.
