Description

The Gushan Xingmei (apricot-plum) produces large fruits with small pits and thick flesh. The average fruit weighs 76g, with the largest reaching 105g. The skin is yellow with a red blush. The flesh is tender, juicy, and has a sweet-tart flavor of excellent quality. In addition to being eaten fresh, it can be processed into canned fruit.

Gushan Xingmei is highly resilient, with strong resistance to adverse conditions, diseases, and cold weather. It does not show a significant alternate bearing pattern. This variety thrives in well-aerated, loose soil with active microbial life and moderate levels of water and nutrients. It begins fruiting five years after planting and enters its peak production period at 15 years.

The fruit is large, flavorful, and freestone, with thick, aromatic flesh that has a balanced sweet and sour taste. It has a sugar content of over 16%. The flesh is rich in amino acids, particularly aspartic acid, glutamic acid, proline, and lysine, making it a top-tier fruit variety.
