Description
This variety has eight major advantages:
(1) Extremely early maturity, ripe for market on May 7th in open field, which is not only rare in China but also worldwide.
(2) Extra-large fruit size, while most early-maturing apricots tend to have small fruits, this variety ranges from 2.1 to 3.5 oz per fruit, with the largest reaching 4.4 oz.
(3) Extremely resistant to late frost. In the early hours of March 27, 2001, during the apricot flowering period, Dangshan County experienced a late spring cold spell with a temperature drop to 19.8 degrees Fahrenheit. The orchards of Golden Sun, Hongfeng, New Century, and Kate suffered severe frost damage, almost completely wiped out, while this apricot variety remained unscathed, bearing abundant fruits.
(4) The fruit surface is entirely red, glossy, and attractive.
(5) Rich and sweet taste, superior in quality to early-maturing varieties like Golden Sun.
(6) Relatively resistant to storage and transportation.
(7) Early fruiting, planted in the current year, and yielding the next year, with abundant harvests in three years.
(8) Economic benefits are 5-10 times higher than Golden Sun, and even higher when grown in greenhouses.
Bare root shipping. Some leaves and branches will be pruned before shipping.
