Description

Dongguo Pear, locally known as “Da Guozi” or “Xiyuan Pear,” comes in two sizes: large and small.
  • The large Dongguo Pear is obovate (inverted egg-shaped), with an average weight of 320 to 500 grams. When ripe, the fruit turns golden yellow, with a relatively thick and rough skin. The flesh is tender and white, with abundant juice, a crisp texture, and a rich, well-balanced sweet and sour flavor, containing about 9% sugar.
  • The small Dongguo Pear is round or oval, with an average weight of 157.5 grams. It is less juicy and does not store as long as the large Dongguo Pear, but it has a thinner skin, finer flesh, and a sweeter taste.

Dongguo Pears mature in September. Once ripe, the flesh becomes watery white, crisp, juicy, and pleasantly sweet with a moderate tang, making it well-suited for storage.

Bare root shipping. Some leaves and branches will be trimmed off before shipping.
