Description
The Black Persimmon typically ripens from late September to early October. The fruit is heart-shaped, with a glossy black surface or a white frost-like coating. The flesh is orange-yellow. When firm, the texture is crisp and hard; after softening, it becomes sticky and glutinous. The juice content is low, but the flavor is rich and sweet, with a sugar content of up to 24%. Its vitamin C content exceeds 60 mg/100g, more than double that of regular persimmons.
