Description
The leaves of the Black-Leaf Oil Apricot are not truly black. Instead, they appear a deeper green due to a higher chlorophyll content compared to other apricot varieties.
The fruit is oval to nearly round, with an average weight of about 50 g. The skin is orange-yellow to greenish-yellow, featuring a red blush on the sun-exposed side, and is smooth and hairless.
The flesh is yellow, juicy, and soft, offering a balanced sweet-tart flavor. The soluble solids content reaches approximately 23.0%, indicating a high level of sweetness.
The fruit is freestone. The pit weighs about 4.6 g, and the kernel is full, fragrant, and sweet, weighing around 1.20 g.
Fruits ripen mid-June, making this an attractive early-summer apricot variety.
