Description

Also known as 88 Red. It is an extremely early-ripening, high-quality fresh-eating jujube variety bred by the Fruit Tree Improved Variety Experimental Station in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province. The fruit is short-cylindrical in shape, with an average single fruit weight of 16.2 g to 27 g. The skin is covered with a whitish bloom, with the sun-exposed side turning bright red, giving it an attractive appearance. The flesh is crisp, tender, and free of residue, with abundant juice. At the crisp-ripe stage, the fresh fruit sugar content reaches 29.9%, making its quality outstanding. It is mainly consumed fresh. The fruit begins to reach the white-ripe stage in early August and can then be harvested for the market.
