It is a classic white-fleshed Chinese honey peach prized for its exceptionally rich and distinctive peach aroma. The fragrance is so intense that ripe fruit can reportedly be detected from more than 30 feet (10 meters) away.

The fruit has creamy white flesh that is exceptionally tender, low in fiber, and full of juice. It has a gentle sweetness, low acidity, and an intense, lingering peach aroma. When fully ripe, the flesh becomes remarkably soft and almost melts in your mouth.
