Description

Zhongtao Jinyi is a new large-fruited, yellow-fleshed peach cultivar developed by the Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Fruit Appearance: Round fruit with an attractive golden-yellow skin when grown with fruit bags. Unbagged fruit typically develops a red blush covering approximately 30% of the skin surface.

Flesh & Eating Quality: Yellow, semi-firm flesh with a sweet, clean flavor. The fruit is clingstone with a semi-firm, non-melting flesh texture. Soluble solids typically range from 14–17° Brix.

Fruit Size: Average fruit weight ranges from 280–445 g (9.9–15.7 oz).

Ripening Season: In Zhengzhou, Henan, the fruit typically ripens from mid- to late July.

Fruit Hang Time: Approximately 20 days, allowing the fruit to remain on the tree for an extended harvest window.
