Description
It is a premium early-season mulberry variety developed by the Guangdong Sericulture Science Research Institute. As a naturally occurring triploid selection, it is completely seedless and highly valued for both fresh consumption and processing.
This variety features an open tree structure, vigorous growth, and large leaves, making it suitable for dual-purpose fruit and leaf production. Each bud bears 5–6 fruits, ensuring strong productivity.
The fruits are large and elongated, with an attractive deep purple-black color at full maturity. They are juicy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced between sweetness and acidity, offering a refreshing and distinctive flavor. With a sugar content of approximately 14% and an impressive anthocyanin level of 808.91–1533.91 mg/L, the fruit delivers both excellent taste and high nutritional value. Juice yield reaches 70%–84%, making it ideal for juice, wine, jam, and functional food processing.
Fruit size ranges from 2.5–6.2 cm in length, with an average weight of 4.44 g and large fruits reaching up to 6.5 g. The variety ripens in early May, giving growers an important early-market advantage.
