Description
Yuanmeng Peach is a late-maturing, firm-melting white peach variety jointly developed by Zhejiang University and the Fenghua Honey Peach Research Institute of Ningbo. It is a cross between Baili (female parent) and Hujing Honeydew (male parent).
The fruit is nearly round, well-shaped, and attractive, with a shallow suture line. The average fruit weight is about 232 g, while large fruits can reach up to 406 g. The background color is pale yellow, developing a red blush at maturity. The skin is easy to peel. The flesh is milky white, with red pigmentation near the stone.
The texture is dense with a firm-melting flesh type, low fiber content, and high juiciness. The flavor is rich and sweet with an intense aroma. Soluble solids content ranges from 15.0% to 17.0%. The fruit matures from late July to early August, with a fruit development period of approximately 120–130 days. This variety shows strong adaptability, high productivity, and excellent overall performance.
