Description
The Zihe Apricot produces flattened, round fruits with a well-proportioned shape. The average fruit weight is 38–45 g, with uniform sizing.
The fruit apex is flat with a slight central depression. The suture line is shallow but distinct, and the flesh on both sides is asymmetrical. The stem cavity is deep and narrow. The skin is yellow and free of spots.
The flesh is orange-yellow, slightly coarse in texture with somewhat higher fiber content. It is moderately juicy, sweet, and aromatic. The soluble solids content is approximately 13.06%, indicating good eating quality.
At room temperature, the fruit can be stored for about 5 days. It is freestone with a small pit. The edible portion accounts for 96.2% of the fruit. The kernel is full and bitter.
