Description
Chili Oil Apricot is a unique apricot variety, named for its fruit shape, which resembles a chili pepper. The fruits are smooth and hairless, ripening into a chili-like shape, often with a red blush on the surface, giving them a distinctive and attractive appearance.
The flesh is purely sweet with no astringency, high in sugar (typically above 23%, with some reports reaching over 25%), juicy, and flavorful. The kernel is edible, and the freestone fruit has a sweet seed.
This variety is self-pollinating and ripens in mid-June.
