Jinshan Late Crisp Plum Tree (金山晚脆李)

Description

Jinshan Late Crisp Plum is a newly developed late-ripening plum variety selected from seedling trees of Green Crispy Plum. It is distinguished by its well-shaped fruit, crisp and tender texture, balanced sweet–tart flavor, thick natural bloom, and rich aroma. The fruit is freestone.

This variety ripens in mid to late September. The fruit is medium-sized and nearly round with a flat apex. The average single fruit weight is 36.1 g (1.27 oz), with a maximum of 51.8 g (1.83 oz). The skin has a green to green-yellow base color and is thin. The flesh is light yellow, dense in texture, and flavorful. The soluble solids content reaches 16.7%, titratable acidity is 0.46%, and vitamin C content is 6.80 mg/100 g.

The pit is small and flattened-round, and the edible portion reaches 96.5%. The variety shows no pre-harvest fruit drop or internal gumming, bears early, yields abundantly, and is well regarded as a high-quality late-season crisp plum.
