Carmine Guava (胭脂红番石榴)

Description

Carmine guava is also called Datang guava. It can be divided into four varieties: palace pink, full red, birth red, and big leaf red. Palace pink and full red are the best. Rouge guava is mainly planted in the suburbs of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It has been planted in Shitan Town, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou for more than 40 years. It is mainly concentrated in Shixia Village and Yuepu Village. Local people call it chicken shit fruit. This variety is bright red in color, thick in flesh, crisp and tender. It is a fruit variety mainly eaten fresh. Rouge guava has strong adaptability, roughness, easy management, and fast growth. It can generally be harvested after two years of planting. The fruit matures from mid-June to late July. The fruit is pear-shaped, and the weight of a single fruit is about 82 grams.
