Description
Sucui No. 4 is an early-maturing pear variety developed by the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, ripening in late July. The fruits are round, with an average single fruit weight of 285 g. The surface is smooth, the skin is yellow-green, and there is very little to no russeting—its appearance is superior to that of Cuiguan.
The flesh is white, crisp, with very few stone cells, very juicy, and sweet in flavor. The soluble solids content is 12.8%. It bears early, produces high yields, and has an excellent proportion of marketable fruits.
