It is a lychee variety named after its ripening time, which occurs in late March on the lunar calendar. It is one of the earliest-maturing lychee varieties. The fruit is large, heart-shaped or slightly off-heart-shaped, with an average weight of 37 to 42 grams per fruit. The skin is light red, relatively thick, and brittle. The flesh is waxy white, with a somewhat coarse and firm texture. The fruit is juicy, and when fully ripe, it has a sweet taste with a slight tang. The soluble solids content is 17.5%, with an acidity of 0.30%. The edible portion accounts for 67% to 70% of the total fruit weight. Each 100 milliliters of juice contains 54.56 to 57.46 milligrams of vitamin C and 0.32 to 0.37 grams of acid.
