Setoka Aroma Orange (瀨戶香柑橘)

Description

The fruit has a flattened round shape with a smooth and glossy surface. The peel ranges from orange-red to deep orange and is tightly adhered to the flesh yet extremely thin, measuring only 0.2 cm. It is easy to peel and feels firm and elastic to the touch.

Each fruit weighs between 170 and 250 grams, with a uniform size and shape. The fruit has a flat top with a distinct ring mark and a rounded base. The oil glands are densely distributed and slightly raised.

The fruit ripens in late January. The flesh is orange, soft, juicy, crisp, and tender, with thin segment walls and a rich flavor. It boasts a high edible rate with no puffiness. The fruit is seedless or contains very few seeds (0–3 seeds per fruit). It has a soluble solids content of 12–15%, an acidity level of 1%, titratable acid content of 0.84%, invert sugar content of 7.06%, reducing sugar content of 4.72%, and a vitamin C concentration of 431.9 mg/L. The edible rate is 85.58%, with a juice extraction rate of 50.97%.
