Description
It is a specialty of Lingwu City, Ningxia, and has been recognized as a China National Geographical Indication Product. This high-quality, locally distinctive jujube variety was developed through years of natural selection. The fruit is long and oval in shape, with bright color, thick flesh, a crisp, sweet taste, and abundant juice. The average weight per fruit is 18.1 grams, with the largest fruits reaching up to 40 grams. The fruit matures in late September, boasting rich nutritional content. It contains various organic acids, sugars, fats, proteins, and minerals, with an especially high vitamin content. Tests show that every 100 grams of fresh Lingwu Long jujubes contain over 600 milligrams of vitamin C, much higher than in common fruits like apples, pears, grapes, peaches, and oranges.
