Description
It was developed in 2010 by the Zhangzhou Agricultural Science Research Institute from a bud mutation in the Guanxi Honey pomelo orchard.
Unlike other pomelo varieties, the Orange Honey pomelo can be identified from the seedling stage by its golden-yellow tender shoots. During the flowering period, the stamens display a purplish-red color. When the fruit matures, the peel turns a golden-orange color naturally, without the need for bagging. The peel becomes deeper and more vibrant in color over time, and the fruit has a long shelf life. The flesh is orange and has an orange-like flavor.
