Description
The fruit of the lemon guava is usually green when unripe and turns yellow when ripe. Delicious, sweet, yellow, aromatic fruit that does not attract fruit flies. Usually blooms and fruits year-round under the right conditions. It is an easy plant to grow, preferring sun or semi-shade and moderate watering, but the better the soil, the faster it will grow. The flesh is creamy white with small seeds and has a strong lemon flavor, which is why it has the common name. The fruit is high in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants, and can be used in a variety of culinary applications, including juices, jams, and desserts.
