Asumi Orange (明日见 兴津58 阿斯蜜)

Description

The fruit is flattened and round with a thin, smooth skin. The oil glands are small and slightly raised. The peel is deep orange, tightly wrapped around the flesh but easy to remove. Each fruit weighs about 150 grams. The top of the fruit is flat with a faint mark, and the base is also flat. The flesh is orange, with a smooth outer seed coat.

This variety has a tender, melt-in-the-mouth texture, abundant juice, and rich flavor, making it of excellent quality. It has a high soluble solids content, reaching 15% when it matures in mid to late February, and the sugar level can exceed 17.5% in March. When planted in large areas, the fruit is seedless, but mixed planting generally produces 2 to 5 seeds per fruit.
